The journal is an international peer-reviewed edition on contrastive linguistics, interpretation and translation, cross-cultural/intercultural communication, foreign language teaching and methodology for teaching interpreting and translating. The aim of the journal is to serve as a platform for both young researchers and eminent overseas and Russian scientists. Contrastive linguistics publishes papers in five languages (Russian, English, German, French, Spanish).
Contrastive Linguistics is registered by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been assigned the following ISSN: 2414-4843.
The journal is included into the database of the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI/РИНЦ), and it is published in print, with the full-text electronic version posted on the Ural State Pedagogical University website.

Contrastive Linguistics encourages submissions from authors living in different countries, speaking different languages, belonging to different linguistic schools. All methods and viewpoints are welcome, provided they contribute something new, original or challenging to contrastive linguistics and related issues. Our aim is to serve as a platform both for young researchers and eminent overseas and Russian scientists so that they have an opportunity to publish their latest research findings and debate with other colleagues from various universities and institutes.
The major priority of the journal is publishing high-quality research papers that comply with international standards and contributing to their wider circulation in the science world.
